Chicago Construction Scaffolding Accidents: Work Injury Lawsuits
July 21, 2022 ⚊ 1 Min read ⚊ Views 148 ⚊ BLOGMany different construction sites require the erection and use of scaffolding to reach higher levels of structures that are being painted, renovated, or built. When properly erected, scaffolding offers workers a safe way to access work locations that are difficult to reach, a temporary location to store tools, and a stable working platform.
Around the country, it’s estimated that around 2.3 million construction workers use scaffolds. In Chicago, where there are multiple high-rise and multi-story buildings, scaffolding is a common sight. It’s used by maintenance workers, window cleaners, painters, and of course those in the construction industry. Unfortunately, when scaffolding is used, there’s the risk of serious and often catastrophic accidents and injuries.
