In vitro fertilization,IVF is Fertilization of eggs by husband sperm outside the body in IVF lab . During the procedure of IVF, mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a specialized lab. Hence the baby conceived by in vitro fertilization is known as Test Tube Baby. IVF has passed through several stages, starting from the classical test tube baby over 20 years and then moving to an advanced process known as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a specialized form of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) which is used for the treatment of severe cases of male-factor infertility. The process of ICSI involves the injection of a single sperm directly into a mature egg using macroscopic technique.
