New App To Aid Cash-strapped Students In Making Late-night Arrivals Home By Richard Commins

When students don’t have cash, a bank card, or a phone, they can still get taxis. Since the service’s debut in Galway and Carlow, thousands of college students and a few taxi companies have registered for it. Richard Commins, a NUI Galway senior studying corporate information systems who oversaw the project’s creation, was at UCC yesterday for the launch of the programme. He said that Dash began as a collegiate undertaking to address a student issue.
